My Erasmus journey in Romania ended

Away From Home

Joining the Erasmus program was one of the most important steps I've ever taken. It was filled with many new experiences. It was my first time living away from home, my first flight, and my first time traveling abroad.

My First Flight

When I first arrived at my new dormitory, I felt lonely and unsure. Being separated from family and friends was difficult.

"Did I make the right choice?"

This question bothered me a lot in the beginning.

After a short time, I met other students who, just like me, were away from home for the first time. We quickly became close friends, supporting each other like a family.

We shared our cultures, cooked our traditional foods together, and learned about each other's customs.

"We laughed together, cried together, and grew together."

Cultural Exchange

Exploring Europe Together

We packed our bags and traveled to different countries together, creating unforgettable memories:

  • 🌍 Exploring the historic streets of Rome.
  • 🚤 Riding boats in the beautiful canals of Venice.
  • ☀️ Enjoying sunny days in lively Barcelona.

Seeing famous places and experiencing different cultures made our time even more special.

Saying Goodbye

When it was time to leave, none of us wanted to go. Our friendships had become too strong. Although we knew this day would come, it was still very hard.

What remained were our amazing memories and lifelong friendships.

"Goodbyes hurt, but the memories stay forever."

If you are considering joining Erasmus, don't hesitate. Just go! It's a life-changing experience that you'll never forget.

But be aware... Post-Erasmus sadness is real! 😢
